there’s obviously golden retriever in it, but the shorter hair tells me it also has lab in it, too

It’s possible. Maybe even Aussie/Lab. Maybe no Aussie at all. It’s hard to say when they are that young.

OMG! She’s gorgeous!
I think the owners right, there looks like there’s a lot of retriever in there. It’s cool that she’s a mix too – there’s less chance of allergies and mix breeds generally have less health problems than pure breeds.
Go for it!
Good luck!

The Australian Retriever is not a purebred dog… It crosses between the Australian Sherpherd and the Golden Retriever. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all the breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. Not all of these desginer hybrid dogs being bred are 50% purebred 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed multi-generation crosses/

Actually based on head shape and size might be a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever (Toller)
Look at these pics and compare.

Wow
I found your blog on Yahoo poking around for something else entirely- and now I’m going to have to go through the old posts. So long spare time this morning, but this was a great find!
